Wasted Money On Parrot Toys
Don’t wast your money on the bargain basement parrot toys! Every time I try to save some money on toys for my birds it always comes back to me in a bad way. It can be tough telling which toys are better than others however, if you do your research, you will find which manufacturers have the highest approval ratings. Even better, do some comparison shopping on Google and look for seller ratings which give good reviews.
Recently I thought bought some nice parrot toys for my birds. They looked like a lot of fun and I thought they would really enjoy them. Once in their cages it did not take but a couple of hours before the toys were reduced to a string with nothing hanging on it. With further inspection I found that the cotton rope used to make the toys was very loose and not wound very well. My smallest of birds, a Green Cheek Conure was able to cut the 1/4″ cotton rope in half with one little bite. All off the pieces came off like pearls on a necklace. This is the last time I buy the bargain toys just to save a few bucks.
